Charles Halkett (1860-1901) was a champion sculler in the NYC area - Single Gig champion in the 1886 Union Boat Club Reggatta & was the Four-Oared Junior Shell winner in the 1887 Staten Island Athletic Club Regatta. He was born in Gent, Belgium.
