Hello,
I am the niece of Harry Chartrand and lived on the same street as he and my aunt my entire childhood. We lived 5 houses apart from one another, on Leland Avenue in the unincorporated part of the city of Whittier. Harry was married to my mother's sister, Lucille and we were very close. Harry and Lucille didn't have children of their own, but adopted all the kids in the neighborhood. They had Christmas parties every year for all the kids. It was wonderful. They also raised pigeons and enjoyed coin collecting. Harry passed away too soon of lung cancer. Lucille was never the same without him. I remember him speaking about Frieda and Skip. (?relatives on the Chartrand side?) I have photos somewhere and will have to learn how to scan. Harry bears a resemblance to Henry Chartrand in the above photo!
Family reunions are the time to reunite with family members you haven't seen in a long while, and to meet distant cousins you might have never known existed.
Sometimes, because of busy lives, adoptions, or the nomadic nature of people, families are separated - for a year, or a decade, or more. Or fights among siblings or generations divide a family. And so...
The surnames I am researching are Swart, Withey, Goodrich, Eagan, Stuber, Ensign,Hanes,Drouin,Chartrand,Crawford, Cartee, Ward, Montague and many others.
My mother is Pamela Thompson. My dad is Richard William Russell. My mom grew up in Fenwick Michigan. My dad grew up in Hart Michigan. They had 2 kids together. Living in Michigan. I have other Half siblings out there somewhere
