A photo of an older George Washington Lee Sr. From his home in McKenzie, Alabama (Butler County) Great Grandpa LEE volunteered to fight the Yankees in The War Between The States. He lost an arm near Vicksburg, Mississippi. Great Grandpa LEE was a Baptist preacher, State Legislator, tax collector and farmer. He was sometimes called One Armed George or Elder LEE.
