Grandma Mary and Unknown Man and Woman
I don't actually know where this picture was taken. One of these women, probably the one who is kneeling on the right, was my maternal grandmother, Mary Tait. She was born in Portobello, Edinburgh, Scotland in August of 1904. I never knew her because she died at the age of 33 in May, 1942 in a hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She arrived in Canada in March, 1928 via the good ship The Montclare, met and married Peter Hamelin dit Emblau in September, 1929 in Three Hills, Alberta, and gave birth to her first child, a girl - my mother, Rosemary Hamelin dit Emblau, on April 25th, 1930, seven months after the marriage took place. Before her death, she also gave birth to three more girls: Anne, Patricia and Frances. It is my fervent wish that someone will recognize either one of these three people because I am having a hard time determining which line of Taits that I and my sisters descended from. Grandma's parents' names were James Tait and Ann(ie) Heslin. Please DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT me if you have any information at all about Grandma Mary or the other people in the picture. Thank you so very much for your time and consideration.
