"James Melville Coleman was born in Lisbon, NY December 2, 1859; graduated from Geneva College 1887, attended our Seminary and Michigan University until 1892, taught in Geneva college 1892-1907; was pastor at Mercer, Pa., 1908-1910, church lecturer 1910-1914; was pastor at Bloomington, Ind., 1914-1918; lectured before colleges, 1918 until forced to rest from broken health; was pastor at Quinter, Kansas, from 1927 until 1935; was supply at Cincinnati, Ohio, when called Home, November 5, 1936."
