He married Lucy Elizabeth Waller May 12, 1874 in Barren County, Kentucky. Lucy was born May 7, 1851 in Barren County, Kentucky, and died Jan. 14, 1933 in Nashville, Tennesse. She was the daughter of William Edmund Waller (1811-1884) and Sarah Ann Johnston (1825-1883).
