Lew Fields 1908
Actor and comedian Lew Fields in the play "The Girl Behind the Counter" in 1908. Lew Fields was the "Fields" in the vaudeville comedy act Weber and Fields. The act broke up in 1904 but reunited for movies in 1923 and 1932.
The dynamics between Weber and Fields was the inspiration for Neil Simon's play, The Sunshine Boys.
