My surname is Townsend. I'm searching for Townsend ancestors back farther than James Porter Townsend who married Elizabeth Jane Williams. James passed away in Colorado, 1800's. His son was my GGGrandfather Ullysses Grant townsend. Ullysses' Son was Solon Peffer Townsend/Solon's son was my father. A cousin up N.
