New Assistant Secretary of Interior. Washington, D.C., Dec. 20. Ebert K. Berlew, of Pennsylvania, who was today nominated by President Roosevelt to be first assistant secretary of the interior. He succeeds Theodore Walters, who died a few weeks ago. Mr. Berlew has been in the government service for 27 years, most of the time in the Department of Interior, 12/20/37
