New prohibition law asked for Alaska. Washington D.C. Consumption of liquor by Indians in Alaska under the present law was "legalized murder" made increasingly bad because they were unable to judge its quality, was told to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee today. Prominent Alaskan officials and Indian educators appeared before the committee to urge that a new prohibition law be enacted by Congress to spply in Alaska.
