My great grandmother was Elizabeth Schitz or Sheets and she was born 21 Feb 1921 in Lebanon Co. Pa. and died 4 Jul 1895 Bourbon, Crawford Co. Mo. She was in a orphan home in PA. and thought getting married would be easier then the hard work she was doing in the home, but she had 14 children. E-mail [contact link]
I am very interested in this photograph. Orville Hammond Scheetz was the first cousin of my grandfather, Paul Gillespie Scheetz. Orville's father, William P. Scheetz, was the brother of my great-grandfather, George Henry Scheetz. The family was from Ohio and Pennsylvania; however, Orville was born in LaJunta, Colorado, and he and his family were living in Oregon by the early 1900s.
