Thomas P. Hightower was born Dec. 5, 1817 Clarke Cty. GA and died July 25, 1896 in Navarro Cty TX. He is in the uniform of a CSA Captain in this picture. He commanded Company I of the 19th Tex Cavalry. (Parson's Brigade) Company I was raised in Navarro County. His son Charnel Berian Hightower served in the same unit with him.
