A photo of Private Abraham Brock - born 1838, enlisted Union Army on 8 July 1863 in Co. 'L' 4th Reg. WV Calvary. He deserted 14 Sep 1863, only to re-enlist on 29 Sept, to join the same unit as his brothers. He was mustered out 9 Aug. 1865 at Richmond VA. It would appear he deserted in order to be with his brothers. There were 4 siblings of my Grandmother, all fighting for the Union forces. [Abraham; Burbridge; Isaac and Jacob Brock]
