Queen Elizabeth I of England
Queen Elizabeth I of England, born in 1533 to King Henry the VIII and Anne Boleyn. Since her mother failed to provide a (living) male heir, she was beheaded when Elizabeth was only 2 1/2 years old. She became queen at age 25 in 1558 when her half-sister Mary Tudor died. She ruled for over 40 years until her death in 1603 (aged 69). Her cousin took the throne.

My father's side is full blood Sicilian and my mother's side is a combination of Welsh, Scottish, German and a few other European cultures. One of my more colorful (ahem black sheep) family members came over on the Mayflower. He was among the first to be hanged in the New World for a criminal offense he made while onboard the ship.
