Rev, J.W. Pettit
Rev. J.W. Pettit on his return home from China.
I am not sure what the J. W. is as I am researching this side of my family. My Grandfather was George W. Pettit, Great Grandparents were Arthur And Sarah (Leggett) Pettit. Since this photo was in the family album my guess is that he is a relative. If you have any info on this family Please email me at [contact link]

1944 - he was clearly on the move. Love these photos that tell a story - and, in addition, it's a bit of a mystery to the family who he is (even though they have a name).
I was guessing a missionary returning to his mission field!

Notice that many people who eat with chopsticks hold the plate of food close to their face. There's a reason for that.

Actual photo of me going to Canada for three days and the border guy laughed at me and asked how many pairs of shoes I brought.
Seven. I brought seven pairs of shoes. Stop judging me, border guy.

You and I must have attended the same seminar on "Packing for Your Short Vacation". I took 6 pair on my last trip. I will certainly need to purchase more luggage before a trip to Europe.

That’s my great grampa arriving in Canada from Germany. He taught Canadians how to make good beer. I think it was old Vagina, I mean old Vienna. Damn spell check.
