"Col. Robert Morrison Sheeks, USAF (Ret.), of San Antonio, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2005 after a long illness. He was born October 5, 1917 in Huron, Dakota to George C. Sheeks and Elizabeth Cornish Sheeks. Col. Sheeks was secretary of his class 41-H at Kelly AFB. This class had annual reunions and raised funds to aid the development of Freedom House at Air Force Village. He was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church. Col. Sheeks was a member of the Daedalians and a comptroller of the McNay Art Museum under the direction of John Leeper. He assisted Boeing Magazine with obtaining photos for Armed Forces Day. Col. Sheeks is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Sarah 'Betsy' Elizabeth Sheeks of San Antonio, Texas, his son, Robert Morrison Sheeks, II of Manchaca, Texas; his sister, Mrs. Ed Law of San Diego, California; nieces and nephews including Diane, Mary, Tom Grove and Bill Swan. Col. Sheeks was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family. The Sheeks family would like to offer their gratitude to VNA Hospice, Mary Tisdale, Peggy Wolfe and John De La Garza. Special thanks to Alicia Ramirez for her loving care and support during Bob's final days. MEMORIAL SERVICE MONDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2005 1:30 P.M. FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH 404 NORTH ALAMO Rev.
