This is Sarah Ellen Callaway on her wedding day. She married William Ira Pierson Gottright VanCleve, a circuit preacher in southern Illinois. She was the daughter of George Washington and Elizabeth Ann (Smith) Callaway. Sarah was born Feb. 14, 1839 near Delhi, Jersey County, Illinois, the oldest of 14 children.
