Sarah Ellen Van Tassel Marries William Hammond

Ellen, dau of Bill & Belle Van Tassel, married Sept 25, 1907 to William H. Hammond, son of Joseph Hammond & Elizabeth Robey. They had 2 children Louis & Margaret. Ellen was born on the Leonard farm, Allamoogia in Hammond Township Sept 22, 1890. 'Two years after Ernest brought Will to that dance, we got married. We share-rented farms until we bought one in Wilna. Then the government expanded Pine Camp and we had to relocate to Carthage in 1942. Will passed away April 7, 1972 after an operation.' - Ellen (who lived to age 99)
