U.S. Army Ambulance in the field

A Field Ambulance was a term used by the British to identify units that treat soldiers near the battlefield, stabilizing them and then moving them to safety for further treatment. This is identified as a US Army Field ambulance that provides the same function.

There is no date associated with thisphoto but it looks like it may be World War 1.
