Photo is of my great great grandparents, William Anderson Davis (born April 6, 1829 in Lauderdale County, AL. Died May 15, 1911 in Olive Branch, DeSoto Co., MS. Buried in Blocker Cemetery there) and his wife, Miranda/Maranda Tillery (Greer) Davis (born June 19, 1832 in Tippah Co., MS. Died October 28, 1883 in Tate Co., MS. Buried in Greenleaf Cemetery, Tate Co., MS.) William Davis was in the Civil War as a Methodist minister, serving at the end of the way, Feb., 1865. To this couple 15 children were born, one of which was my great grandmother, Nannie Davis Lane.
