Photo of a young english man, wearing a nautical-style jacket. Photo taken at Rees & Co. 298 Clapham Road, London, S.W. sometime during the 1800's or early 1900's.
Do you recognize this young English gent? Is his photo in your family album? This photo was a treasured keepsake of my great-grandmother Louisa Ann PALMER VALLIS, born 1858 in Swanbourne England. Louisa married John Vallis born 1849(son of Samuel VALLIS and Sarah TAYLOR), from Poplar/Millwall. We believe this photo is from VALLIS kin. John Vallis' siblings included Abraham, George, Clara, Ellen and Mary Jane. George & wife Eliza continued to live in Poplar. Mary Jane married Alfred SCRIVEN.
Other ancestral surnames include: PICKERING, HEDGES and CUTTER.
