George Washington LEE Sr.
This is a photo of my Great Grandpa, George Washington LEE, Sr. taken probably when he returned from The War. His parents were William Greenberry LEE and Martha Jane Taylor who were early settlers of Covington County, Alabama. Great Grandpa LEE is buried at Elizabeth Primitive Baptist church in McKenzie, Alabama where he was the pastor for 30 years. The United Daughters of the Confederacy placed an iron marker on his grave there. (Photo courtesy of Webb Lee and Robert Gibson)
