Nancy Jane "Nannie" (Randle) Hamblin, wife of William Riley Hamblin and daughter-in-law of John Culture Hamblin and Sarah "Sally' Young. Nancy was born September 9, 1868 to John Burton Randle and Cynthia L. (Veach) Randle. Her mother, Cynthia was the daughter of Catherine (Hamblin) Veach, who was the daughter of Benjamin Hamblen, who was the son of George Hamblen. Nancy's and William Riley's children are: Minnie, Anderson, Leander, Cynthia, Ettie J., Lille E., Lola and Nona.

James Albert Smith was born October 4, 1881 in Saxton, Whitley County, KY. He married Mary Ellen Hodge in the early 1900's. They had 10 children: Arville, Charlie, Earl, Dewey, William, Myrtle, Bessie, Mary, Betty and Viola. James was a preacher and worked in the coal mines. He loved horses and had this photo made with his favorite one.
