Pearl was my maternal grandmother (Granny).
She was born Arizona Kazee but at the age of 18 she legally changed her name to Pearl.
She had been nicknamed "Zoney" and had always disliked being called that.
She married Harvey Ashley and they had 9 children,
Harold, Ferrold, Irene, Jewel, Christine, Oilve, Dolores, Garold and one infant that did not live.
