2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Bates, Geers Historical Home, view 2
Bates-Geers House Architectural Style: Greek Revival Built between 1825 - 1840 Historic Person to build: Addison Bates Not far from Paddy's Chapel there stood the old Addison Bates home. Bates was one of the early settlers in Texas County, Mo. and owned a sawmill. Bates was from the south and he constructed a home unsurpassed in the hills in its day, modeling it after the colonial plantation homes of his home. The home later was sold to William & Mary Roby. John Geers then purchased the home. Later it was sold to the son Charles Geers son of John. Charles married Sylvania Rose Neal.
