Gene Dixon Two tablespoonfuls of gelatine and six tablespoonfuls of cold water; let stand until dissolved. Two cupfuls of granulated sugar, six tablespoonfuls of boiling water; boil until it forms a soft ball, pour into the gelatine and beat twenty minutes. Butter a square pan and dust with powdered sugar. When set cut in squares. This may be used for a cake filling. Gene Dixon Take the juice and grate the yellow portion of the rind of two lemons, two cupfuls of sugar, yolks of four eggs, four tablespoonfuls flour and two cupfuls of water. Cook the mixture until it is well thickened. Bake the pastry then pour in the mixture. Beat the whites of four eggs to a froth, add two tablespoonsfuls of sugar, spread over tops of pies and bake until brown. This makes two pies. Mrs. F. A.
