Lillian Marie (Boxall) McLean was born in 1908 in Bendigo, VIC Australia. Her maiden name is Boxall and she married into the McLean family. She is the child of Mary Jane (Johnson) Boxall and George Frederick Boxall, with siblings Garnet, Edith, Thelma, Albert, Sylvia Matilda, and Dulsie. She married Kenneth McLean in 1933 in Sydney, NSW Australia. They were married until Kenneth's death in 1962 in Melbourne, VIC Australia. They had children Carole Adele McLean, Neil Franklin McLean, Kenneth Peter McLean, and Un-Named Still Born. She died in 1973 at [external link], Croydon, NSW Australia at 65 years of age. Lillian Marie (Boxall) McLean had been residing, with her family at 17 Overend Street, East Brunswick, VIC Australia. Due to depression over the loss of her daughter, Lily abused alcohol which resulted in loss of mental functions inclusive of memory. On the death of her husband, Lily was admitted to Aradale Asylum, she later moved to Sydney in care of her eldest son, however, that was not ideal and she was placed into care until her death. Her young son Neil, was placed in the care of Legacy Victoria. During these sad times the Boxall Family members were uncaring, unhelpfull and determined to claim the estate for themselves.
