Moses Carter Louthan, 1863
b. 5/29/1829 in Frederick Co., VA. m. Minerva Carter (1833- 1905) on 1/4/1853. Moses d. 2/28/1864 of "service connected illness," Benton Barracks near St. Louis 2/27/1864. Fought at Battle of Vicksburg. Parents; John L. Louthan (1790-1865) & Margaret Carter (1797-1840s) who d. in Coles (now Douglas) Co. IL. Issue; John, Joseph, James, Mary, Charles.
