This distinguished-looking man is Stephen Harris Harrington II, one of the founders of the Harrington & King Perforating Company in Chicago, Illinois. The other founder was Rockwell King. This company was founded in the early 1880's and is still in operation today. Stephen was born in 1846 in Nova Scotia. He was married four times. His first wife was Sarah Adele Salisbury. His second wife was Kate Van Tuyl. His third wife was Elizabeth V. Hutchinson. His fourth wife was Georgina B. Richey. Stephen lived in Illinois while being married to each of these women and had children with all of them with the exception of Elizabeth Hutchinson. Stephen passed away in 1913. At that time, he was a resident of Highland Park, Illinois. Among Stephen's children was Stephen Harris Harrington III, who was born to him and his fourth wife, Georgina. Stephen Harris Harrington III married Margaret Barnes Loughran. Stephen III and Margaret had a son, Stephen Harris Harrington IV. Stephen Harris Harrington IV (also known as Stephen Harris Harrington III) passed away in 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Princeton University. His wife, Milly Kramer, was his only surviving family member.
