Photo was taken in April 1943 at Lenngries, Upper Bavaria. Soldier on the photo is Anton Bilgeri. Maybe he served at Grenadier-Ersatz-Bataillon 217 of the 57 Infantry Division (Germany). At the end of 1945 he was in prisoners camp N276 at Yaroslavl, Soviet Union. His later fate is unknown.
This photo Anton Bilgeri presented to 16-years old Russian boy from Yaroslavl. The owner of the photo (now 84) wants to know what had happened to Anton, whether he survived and returned home.
