Sue Edling Amy Evelyn Edling, father George N. Edling, mother Clara N. Peterson. Amy's brother, Albert Richmond Edling is my grandfather and the only one in the family to marry. Albert married Gladys Reid and they had one son Richmond Sears Edling, my father who married Jean Doble. Amy was a a secretary for Sterns Co. I was told that her father George made piano's and was a bronzer. I know that both Amy and her brother Elmer played the piano. Amy told me that she had a brother who died young, who played the flute. I am wondering if his name might be Arthur. I think possibly another child name Henry R. Edling " Harry", died as a child. I can email a picture of her but this iPad won't let me upload. Amy died from Cancer as did her brother Elmer Robert Edling. Amy loved hats and had some very bazaar looking ones with feathers. She was a magic woman and to this day I don't know how she did it. Amy would buy Ice cream in Jamaica Plains and some how after taking a bus and subways and a train would get that ice cream still somewhat cold to Rockport, MA. She bought strange favors that I didn't like but ate with a smile on my face because of her great effort to get the ice cream to us. Amy in latter years wore a lot of rouge and you could smell her perfume around the block. Amy was kind, giving to a fault. Very blessed that I had her in my life. Sadly I don't know very much about my Edling branch of the family. I know that both George N. Ed.ing and Clara N. Peterson came from Sweden. There is talk that we are related to a Swedish Sea Captain and his ship's name is Flying Gazelle. There is a painting of this ship. Any help would be appreciated. Sue Edling Di4rootsgrant@gmail.com
