Charles Albert Sanzone was born Albert Panozzo to Anthony and Lucia Panozzo from Trieste Conca, Italy. His mother Lucia passed away the day after his birth. He and all his siblings were taken by the state, because his father an illiterate Immigrant could not read the summons to court.
He was adopted by Peter Sanzone and Carmella Addalia from Palermo, Italy and raised on School street in Chicago, Ill.
Flora was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. The daughter of Federico Romero, a boiler repair man for the Santa Fe Railroad and Anastacia Sandoval.
Her family goes back to the 1500's and were among the original settler's of New Mexico, when it was under Spanish rule, Mexican rule, US territory and finally gained statehood.
They married at a time when mixed marriages were not acceptable and faced prejudice both socially as well as within the family. They endured many trial's and much adversity, but their love was stronger than any obstacle put before them. They had two Daughter's Carmela Sanzone Romero and Theresa Sanzone Wood. Had seven grand children and ten great grandchildren.
