People named Walter Yokum

Walter Joseph Yokum was born to Harry Mathis Yokum (1892-1967) and Clara B. Breitung (1890 - 1925) and was of German heritage on his maternal line. He had a brother Harrison (1913-2000) and a sister Evelyn (born 1914). Walter Yokum married Vera Borthwick (1920-1985) in 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, and they had a daughter together. A veteran of World War II, Walter was a staff sergeant and served as a gunner in the 493rd bomb group and the 94th bomb group, which was a part of the 410th bomb squadron. Dockter was convicted of robbing and murdering Walter Yokum, and he will be up for release in 2039. Another man, Jason Fowler, plead guilty to burglary in the case and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
