Aaron Andrew Dutton's father was Andrew Thomas Dutton (1994 - 1937) and his mother was Ada Treadway (1896 - 1974). He had siblings Richard Daniel "Jim", Felton Lonnie, Iva Jean "Imogene", John Leon, Ora Willie, Deward Alford, and Kaydon Dutton. When Aaron was seven years old, he was living with his family in Lawrence County, Alabama and going to school. His father was a framer. At age 18, Aaron was working at Hilltop Orchards of Hartford Michigan and living in Lawrence County. He was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. He had brown eyes, black hair, and a "dark" complexion. He also had a birthmark on the left side of his chest. Aaron married Willodean Pitt (1924 - 2017) on September 18, 1943 in Lawrence, Alabama.
