Albert signed up in 1914 and fought until just seven weeks before the end of the war.
Albert was injured in 1915 and was told he could return home to Britain but refused because he said he wouldn't be able to look his mates in the eye when they eventually came home, once the war was over, if he left them to fight without him.
He died on September 18th 1918, aged 29 years old.
