Alice Irene (Wood) Skeels was born on May 1st, 1916, in Missaukee, Michigan to Victor Wood (1888 - 1963) and Zella Sophronia Adams (1891 - 1969). Both of her parents were born in Michigan. She had siblings Orrin, born 1910, Norman, Hannah, Frank,and Victor, born 1923. she also had four more sisters. Alice married twice: The first time, she was married to Robert Kenneth Gale (1916 - 1972). They married on June 22nd, 1935 in Montcalm, Michigan. They had one son, Robert L. Gale, born around 1937. The second time, Alice Gale, age 30, married Robert Earl Skeels (1918 - 1981), age 27. They married on August 25th, 1946 in Lakeview, Michigan. Alice I. (Wood) Skeels died at the age of 80 on April 15th, 1997 in Lakeview, Michigan. She is buried in Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeview, Montcalm County, Michigan.
