Betty Catherine Truby, age 18, married Frank Compton Calaway, age 21, on July 20, 1947 in Comanche Oklahoma. Another record from Comanche has them marrying on Dec 24 1948 and states that she is 16. (Her mother is listed as D F Truby) There is also a record of them marrying on July 18, 1949 in Comanche. From these records, it looks as though Betty and Frank married 3 times within the space 2 years because Betty was actually underage the first 2 times. If you knew Betty, please update this biography to clear up this mystery. According to a July 20th 1947 article about their wedding (The Lawton Constitution, Lawton Oklahoma) Betty (who went by Catherine) was the daughter of George F. Truby of New Orleans. According to Wikipedia: "Mark William Calaway was born in Houston, Texas, on March 24, 1965, the son of Frank Compton Calaway (died July 2003) and Betty Catherine Truby. He has four older brothers named David, Michael, Paul, and Timothy (who died March 2020, age 63)." Mark is the son of Betty and Frank (who died in July 2003) and was known as "The Undertaker" in his wrestling career. Mark wrestled for the WWE. He is retired as of 2020.
