[NOTE: Brother MYRON gave d. Jan. 6, his brother Calvin died, not Jan 7th.] . Born June 19, 1926 in Oxford Ohio s/o Leroy and Susan Hann-Vanness. He graduated from Reily High School in 1944. In 1950 he graduated from Miami University with a degree in Architecture. He also served in US Army. After graduating from Miami he worked for an architecture firm in Yellow Springs and at Wright Patterson. Calvin then moved to Phoenix Arizona and opened his own architecture firm where he spent the last fifty three and a half years. Calvin was a loving uncle to all of the nephews and nieces. He was active in the Asbury Methodist Church in Phoenix and was an avid traveler and visited many places outside the US. He is survived by a sister Alice Lee Naron, a brother Myron Roy 'Buck' Vanness sr. and a step brother Steve Sayres; nephews, Ron [Penny] Ramsyer, Myron [Pam] Vanness jr; nieces Marcia [Jim] Watson; Stephanie [Carl] Galbraith; Valerie [Jim] Schmitt; great nephews Brandon Galbraith; Logan Rameyer; Jason Galbraith; Ian Vanness; Matt Watson; Russell Karagoes; great nieces Gina Harvey; Ashley Vanness; Leah Karagoes; great great Nephew Dylan Harvey and Great Great niece Makenzie Kelly, plus many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother, Dessie VanNess; step brother Melvin Sayres and Merle Sayres; great great niece Jennifer Watson and a sister in law Jeannine VanNess. At his request, his body was donated to a science lab. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix Arizona. ---------------------- Burial Reily, Butler County, Ohio At his request, his body was donated to a science lab. A memorial service will be held in Phoenix Arizona. His ashes will then be sent to Ohio, at which time a service will be held at the Reily Cemetery, Reily Ohio-Butler County.
