Carl Walter Kaser was born on February 18, 1917 in The Dalles, Oregon to Julina 'Julius' Kaser (born , Switzerland) and Lena Ryf (born Switzerland). He had siblings Jacob (1918), Warner ( 1912), Marie (1907), Julius, Paul, Dorothy and Martha. In 1920 - 1930 the family is listed as living in Columbia Oregon, in 1933 as living in The Dalles, and in 1935 through 1940, back in Columbia. In the 1940 Federal Census, Carl reported that he worked in "Stock Dairy" 65 hours a week, year around, and lived with his parents. On October 16 1940 , he enlisted in the US Army as a private. He entered his residence as Wasco, Oregon, his height as 69 inches and his weight as 148 lbs., his next of kin as his mother, Lena, and he stated that he was self-employed, age 23. On August 12, 1942 Carl married Evelyn Myrtle Allsup in Multnomah County, Oregon. They had 3 children: Erin, Brook, and Phillip. Carl W. Kaser died at the age of 90.

Carl Kaser of Millersburg, Holmes County, Ohio was born on September 14, 1902, and died at age 81 years old in July 1984.
