Charlotte (Rosen) Lear was the first wife of Norman Lear, an American television screenwriter, film and television producer, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday. They had child Ellen Louise Lear.
After Charlotte and Norman Lear married and were living in Buffalo, New York, Norman moved them to Los Angeles, California. When Norman decided that they needed to move back to New York a couple of years later, Charlotte wanted to remain in Los Angeles. The disparity in their goals led to Charlotte divorcing Norman.
Charlotte S Lear of Powderly, Muhlenberg County, KY was born on December 18, 1939, and died at age 67 years old on June 5, 2007.
