Daniel's father was John William "Will" Rapp III, 1877-1941, and his mother was Catherine "Katie" Marie (HAPPEL) Rapp, 1877-1914. He had siblings Freida and Kittie. He married Ruth Elizabeth "Betty" (Roberts) Rapp, 1915-1999, in Lake Township IN on Jan 19 1938. On the 1940 federal census, Daniel was 28, married, living in Fort Wayne, was a knitter in a hosiery mill, owned his own home, and had finished high school. Both he and Ruth had been born in Indiana. On his WW2 draft card for Young Men, he stated that he was living in Fort Wayne IN and was married. He was 5 ft 7 inches, 140 lbs, had a light complexion and brown hair and brown eyes. He named his wife Ruth as next of kin. He was working at Wayne Knitting Company in Ft Wayne. There is no record of Ruth and Daniel having had children. On his death certificate, Bonnie Wilson, his niece, was the informant. The cause of death was "undetermined"
