The Bendigo Advertiser. Victoria. 15th September 1877. OVERLOADING A CAB. Daniel Rogan, sen., Daniel Rogan junr., and Charles Hayes, cab drivers were fined 2s 6d. each for this offence. The Argus, Melbourne. 5th October 1886. BUGGY ACCIDENT AT BRUNSWICK. A rather serious accident happened at Brunswick yesterday afternoon, to Mr. Daniel Rogan, the licensee of the Cricketers' Arms Hotel, Coburg. Mr. Rogan had had his buggy repaired at a place on the Sydney-road, and was leaving the premises, when in crossing a gutter, the horse took fright, and kicked and plunged violently, overturning the buggy, which fell on top of Mr. Rogan. He was quickly as possible extracted from his dangerous position, and carried into the smith's shop, where he was found to be severely injured about the left leg, which it was feared broken. He was conveyed to his home at Coburg.
- The Brunswick and Coburg Leader. Vic. 12th June 1914. Mr. Daniel Rogan of the Post Office Hotel, Sydney rd., Coburg, who died on the 18th inst., had been in bad health for some time. In his time he was the landlord of the Commercial, the Nugget and Woolpack, and Wheatsheaf at Campbellfield. The late Mr. Rogan was among the first drivers of the Melbourne Tram and Omnibus Company. He was a prominent sporting gentleman, and was ever ready to assist in local sporting circles. He was well known as a charitable giver. He married a daughter of the late George Leape, a well-known quarry proprietor, whom those who were in Brunswick 30 years ago will remember. - The Herald, Melbourne. Wed 10th June 1914. The remains of Mr. Daniel Rogan, an old resident of Coburg, were interred in the Melbourne General Cemetery this afternoon. Mr. Rogan, who was 56 years of age, and a native of Bendigo, died on Monday night in St. Vincent's Hospital. The Rev. Father Duffy, of Carlton, read the burial service.
