Douglas Goggins was born in Anniston Alabama to Thomas Goggins Jr (1871-1950) and Liddie McKinney. He married Willice Griffin (1904-1977) on August 25th 1923 when he was twenty years old, and they had children Louise (1926-1981), Lathardus (1927-2009), Bethena (1930), Lorraine (1933), Trunnis (1934-2013), Agazalee (born 1936), and Sarah (born 1937). The family lived in Anniston Alabama until about 1935 when Douglas was 31 and moved to Buffalo, Erie New York where he lived until his passing in March 1985.
