Edith was my mother-in-law, she married Howard D. Smith in 1943., Her children were told she was a orphane, from Virginia raised in orphanage, in Pittsylvania, Va. no family . We have searched . only thing we have been able to find was Edith Overbey in Kentucky that would match up with the birth date given - or + a year or so. She was a good person, good parent & granmother. After the world war II , they lived in Thomasville Ga. If anyone has any information on Edth Overbey. Please post
