Felix Gundy had a twin named Isaac Newton. Felix was always having fun and enjoying life. He loved to try to find treasure and liked to tie a cricket or grasshopper to a wooden spool and watch it walk around the yard with the spool rolling along behind it. He often said, "always take a sack with you cause you never know when somebody's gonna give you something." He and his family got down on their knees every night and he prayed long prayers. At meal time he prayed, "Lord, give us true and thankful hearts for this food and all other blessings." He developed prostate cancer, and was bedridden for two years before he died. He and his wife lived in Converse, Louisiana, in a house with a well to provide water and an outhouse. They moved to a duplex apartment in Mansfield, Louisiana, when he got sick.
