She graduated from Gruver, TX high school in 1951, married Lyle Irby Harman May 31, 1952. They lived at Phillips Petroleum's Hansford plant, also known as Sherhan. They lived at Phillips Petroleum's Tex Booster plant. They moved the company house into Texhoma, TX in 1962. They had three children. In 2000 they moved to Amarillo, TX into Lyle's mother's house. Lyle passed away in 2012.
