Fred Dreibus c. 1919 - c. 1964 Fairfax City, Virginia, United States

Fred Dreibus was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1919 (I had always been told 1918, but the internet never lies) to Otto and Berna Dreibus. He probably began his higher education in 1937; many years of education would follow both before and after WWII. He was deployed with the Army Air Corps in the Pacific theater during the war. After the war and upon completing his education, he married my mother Barbara Hayes (1929 - 2010) and bought a farm in Little Washington, VA. Upon my birth, they sold the farm and moved to Northern Virginia and he worked in Washington, D.C. in the national security field (personally, I wish they had stayed on the farm . . . ). After a protracted battle with colon cancer, he spent the last few weeks of his life at his mother's home in Milwaukee, WI where he passed away in June 1964. I am deeply ashamed that I can't provide a better bio of my father whom I consider to be a great man.
