George is my father: I being Daniel Jay Lyne along With Curtis and Steven (my older brothers) Lyne. My dads life was an upbringing of the school of hard Knocks, but amidst all of such he died the way he loved living. He liked loud Rock-N-Roll Music (ZZ Top, Floyd, Sex Pistols...) He enjoyed "Feeling Good" and in doing so after divorce he spent later years chasing 20 year old gals....He was smart but on paper you couldn't prove it. He could explain algebra to a 7th grader to where they understood such Easily, could weld, and troubleshoot most anything mechanical. He fixed up his pride and joy model A Ford and turned it into a roadster. He dug it out of a creek and went from there. He liked Ford Vehicles, Fishing, and though the people around whom my brothers grew up had us thinking he was the devil....he was not. He was proud of my brothers and I, but he was so without us ever knowing much of it...but I knew. My brothers drifted from him in later years, but I tightened up on him as I realized he was nothing at all like people claimed. He cared about his friends and about his family he just didn't advertise such, was crazy protective of my brothers and half sister. Ultimately he was hurt being cut out.of our lives and thst wasn't fair to him. To make it clear to everyone that my loyalties lie with my dad I did his eulogy and in front of 150 or so people I told the dirtiest joke he ever told a Christian school boy who came to visit in the summer to them....dad had a terribly raunchy and hilarious sense of humor. He was good to his neighbors, an old man named Lea live by him.on 1205 N. 5th Street in Salina, Kansas and when Les got tired of his wife and needed a break my dad would get him a chair and a bucket of parts to tear apart ..Les was like 80 years old then when I was boy. He was a hard working good humored caring protective father whom.shouldnt have been cut out of our lives So I personally hold no qualms with the man getting frustrated and pulling a gun on my uncle JC for not letting him see us.
