Heinrich "Henry" Frank Ruschmann was born to Magdalena Ruschmann (1876 - 1911), born in Germany. His mother had been born in Germany.
Henry Ruschmann married Bertha Elisabeth Klotz on March 9, 1941 in New Jersey and they had children Henry W., Roberta M., and Peter P. Ruschmann.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Henry moved to the United States when he was around 21 years old. He lived in the state of New Jersey for the rest of his life, where he married and had children. Henry was the founder and owner of Meadowbrook Inventions, a Bernardsville, New Jersey firm specializing in the precision cutting of metallic films, paper and foils. The firm did work for Kodak, Bendix, Hercules and Armstrong Floors.
After firms like Kodak started cutting their own paper, Henry's most famous, and innovative, invention was "glitter" - used even today in many commercial products. Son Henry W. Ruschmann joined the firm and furthered the research and uses of glitter, a product that some praise and some curse!
