Herbert's parents were Elias Charles Disney (1859 - 1941) and Flora Call (1868 - 1938). He was one of the brothers of Walt Disney - the cartoonist and amusement park creator.
He married Louise J (Rose) Rast (1891 - 1953) on 14 Aug 1913 in Jackson, Kansas City, Missouri and had daughter Dorothy Louise Disney (1915 - 2007).
